Partially disabled medical student Dr. Donald Blake discovers his heretofore unknown alter ego, the Norse warrior, Thor. The film introduces the origin of Thor and how he joins the Avengers. The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh (Frankenstein, Hamlet).

Natalie Portman (Closer) as Nurse Jane Foster
Jaimie Alexander (Kyle XY) as Sif
Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Ray Stevenson (Rome, Punisher Warzone) as Volstagg
Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer, Mongol) as Hogun
Stuart Townsend (The League of Extraordinary Gentleman) as Fandral
Colm Feore (Changeling, Chronicles of Riddick) and Stellan Skarsgård (Dead Man's Chest, King Arthur) will also have roles.
Sam Jackson will appear as Nick Fury and Stan Lee will more than likely have his usual cameo. I'm not sure but it's lso likely we'll see Tony Stark in the film.
