I'm sure I'll have to re-watch this film to fully appreciate it's campy nature. The overall issue I had was the major pacing problems and the cheesy dialog. Some scenes felt like pulling teeth and needed to end quickly but dragged on. The standout performance of the film wasn't Sam Worthington it was Gemma Arterton. I'm now in the opinion she only helps film with her involvement. While I can't recommend this film in 3D since I purposely avoided it and went for 2D. If you're looking to kill 2 hours with some genre fare this could be for you. If I had to compare this to another film it would be Flash Gordon, all action/style and zero substance.
