Rooney Mara & Christian Bale Joining Spike Lee's Old Boy?

TwitchFilm reports that Rooney Mara (Social Network, Dragon Tattoo) is in talks to take the female role in Spike Lee's remake of Old Boy. Which is based on the cult Korean film and manga. The report also states that Christian Bale has previously been mentioned as wanted for the role of the villain. Josh Brolin will play lead character. I'm not sure how to feel about Spike Lee directing since he can push his agenda a little too far in his films. It's also been a while since I've fully enjoyed one of his movies. However, Lee has given us excellent films like 25th Hour and Summer Of Sam.
